All of these Spotlight Sundays have been shedding a light on so many situations people struggle with each and every day, month and year! Connie is no different. We hear so many times about making the time for an event/trip and for some reason we don't have the time when their is no purpose. But, you will read how Connie turned it all around and now focuses on what else she is going to achieve next!

People like Connie are why I do what I do. You could see her dedication after one class. I have watched her melt away the inches and it's all because she takes it all in and applies it, She improves each and every week. She misses ONLY when work calls. She is a true testament to show up, apply, and get results! I am VERY proud of her and can't wait to see what she does next!

For the past 15 years, I’ve been a yo-yo exerciser. It has stemmed from a stubborn 15 pounds that I’ve allowed to come and go throughout the years, and at times consume me.

I grew up in a family where eating healthy, well-balanced meals was a priority, and I consider myself lucky in that respect. Since my eating habits were fairly good, I used regular physical activity as a means of controlling the weight.

When life was less complicated and I had more free time (like during college), I exercised regularly and kept the weight off. As I transitioned to graduate school and the real world, free time didn’t exist anymore, and the yo-yo battle began again.

If there was a beach vacation coming up, I’d spend 6-8 weeks before the event doing some type of cardiovascular activity 6 days per week until at least some of the weight came off. Inevitably, the time I found to exercise seemed to vanish into thin air when my vacation was over. It was then back to feeling sluggish and fatigued, and struggling with insomnia.

I was disgusted with my lack of consistency. In November 2010, after a beach vacation in October had me in the yo-yo cycle again, I saw a Groupon for a Bootcamp in Lutz and decided to give it a try.

In my typical fashion, I “didn’t have the time” to redeem the Groupon until it was about to expire in May 2011. After one session, I was hooked and haven’t missed a week since.

I’ve lost inches and pounds, and my clothes fit better now than they ever have.  For the first time in 15 years, I’m not fixated on the number on the scale.

For the first time in a long time, I am feeling good about myself – not just because of how I look in my jeans, but because of what I’ve been able to accomplish in the past 3 months.

I’m stronger, faster, healthier, more confident, and more motivated than I’ve ever been. I have more energy throughout the day and my insomnia has completely resolved.

The goals I’m setting for myself now aren’t aimed at a particular vacation, but instead aimed at being as balanced as possible each and every day for the long-term.

I am so grateful for Carrie’s knowledge, expertise, accountability, challenge, and encouragement – this is merely the beginning of my journey!
