Talk about commitment! Shea started with me a year and a half ago and has NOT once stopped and restarted the program. She has stayed committed to coming 3 times a week, unless work or school has gotten in the way (which hasn’t been often at all). She actually tries very hard to work around her boot camp schedule. And trust me, there are many of days she didn’t want to come, but did it anyway!
That is what it is all about. Your fitness routine is just like eating, you need to do it regularly to reef the benefits and live a healthy lifestyle. Whether Shea gets that or not, she definitely practices it. She has done an amazing transformation with her body and her mind!
As her story will tell you, but I don’t want to go without mentioning, I am SO proud of her! People like her are why I love what I do.
Here is her story…
Have you ever lost control? At 29, I was waking up in the morning, and finding myself not liking what I saw in the mirror. I had always tried to be “healthy,” going to dance classes, joining “diet plans,” but after years of putting other people before me, I found that I no longer had a grip on my own life. I was unhappy, overweight, and lost. In an attempt to gain back control, some friends and I signed up for Carrie’s boot camp.
In January of 2010, I attended my first boot camp with Carrie. It was hard, but somehow I made it through. Thus began a year and a half journey of growing both mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Carrie’s boot camp has given me more than energy, strength, and endurance, it has helped me to “get a grip” on my life. By attending Carrie’s camp, I have gained the confidence and self-esteem to take back control. She helped me to feel great about turning 30, to hold my head up high when adversity strikes, and to always put myself first. I am in better shape now than I have ever been in my whole life, and can now look myself in the mirror every day and be proud of who I am, and where I’m going.
Thanks Carrie!
